SMS Terms & Conditions

These Terms govern your use of the SMS messaging features of LUMA. By opting in to receive SMS from LUMA, you agree to these Terms.

LUMA operates two distinct SMS programs:

2. Messaging frequency

For LUMA account notifications: message frequency varies based on your account activity. Typical providers receive 0-5 messages per week related to their account.

For business communication: frequency depends entirely on the provider-client conversation. There is no scheduled or automated messaging beyond what you and your conversation partner exchange.

3. Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply based on your wireless carrier's plan. Standard messaging rates from your carrier apply to all messages sent to or received from LUMA. LUMA does not charge for SMS receipt by clients; providers' outbound messaging usage is governed by their LUMA subscription plan.

4. Opting out

Reply STOP to any LUMA SMS at any time to immediately and permanently opt out of further messages from that program. After you send STOP, you will receive one final confirmation message indicating you have been unsubscribed.

If you want to opt back in, you must initiate that yourself — log back into your LUMA account and re-enable SMS consent, or text the LUMA business number again. We do not maintain a re-opt-in marketing list.

6. Supported carriers

LUMA supports all major US mobile carriers, including but not limited to AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Boost Mobile, Cricket Wireless, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular, Virgin Mobile, and Republic Wireless. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Service is not available on all carriers; consult your carrier for compatibility.

7. Privacy

SMS message content is processed by LUMA and our SMS partner Twilio. Incoming messages may be automatically categorized by an AI model (OpenAI) under a zero-retention agreement. We do not sell or rent your phone number or message content. For full details on how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.

8. Carrier filtering and delivery

Mobile carriers may filter or block messages for spam prevention, regulatory compliance, or other reasons. LUMA cannot guarantee message delivery to every recipient on every carrier. We comply with applicable carrier requirements (including A2P 10DLC registration) but cannot override carrier decisions.

9. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to opt in to LUMA SMS. By opting in, you confirm you are the authorized user of the phone number you provided and have the right to receive messages at that number.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the most recent update. Continued use of LUMA SMS after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
